Franklin House opened in 2019 and is located in the Duston area of Northampton. The home provides care for up to two young people who would otherwise struggle to live in larger groups. The home believes in building strong relationships with young people and takes a PACE-ful approach to care. The home has a warm and welcoming staff team who are committed to providing the environment in which young people can move forward with their lives.
The home is situated in a community that offers good local amenities, including a doctor’s surgery, dentist, library, sports centre and good schools. A regular bus service links Duston with Northampton town centre and Sixfields where there is a cinema, bowling, gym, football stadium and many food outlets.
Franklin House is managed by Kate Scoltock. Kate has worked in residential settings, including secure for over 10 years. Her background is in education and special needs and Kate advocates strongly on behalf of the young people in her care. She firmly believes that all young people should receives their full education entitlement and have the same opportunities and aspirations as their peers outside of the care system.
Kate holds QCF Level 5 in Leadership in Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services.
