In 2018, Homes2Inspire opened its first leaving care service in Northampton: Belinda Ferrison House.
Belinda Ferrison House provides supported accommodation for Northamptonshire care leavers. Each care leaver is supported to live independently in their own flat, with staff teaching practical life skills such as cooking, housekeeping and financial management.
Following the success of this project, Homes2Inspire was commissioned by Gloucestershire County Council to operate a unique supported accommodation and well-being service: Trevone House. This supported accommodation service helps young people to develop life skills and search for long-term accommodation. In addition, we offer a well-being service and provide a CQC registered, nurse led service for young people who require additional support with their mental and emotional health.
Both services offer floating support to young people after they have moved into their own long-term accommodation, helping to provide an additional safety net and a continuing sense of safety.
Homes2Inspire welcomes the proposed regulation of supported accommodation services. We are working with Ofsted to ensure that our supported accommodation services are fully compliant with the new regulations and standards.
