Letter from Matt Hancock MP, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care

The secretary of State for Health and Social Care, the Rt Hon Matt Hancock MP, has written an open letter to our “brilliant colleagues in social care” recognising the hard work and sacrifice of staff in the sector, like our staff team at Homes2Inspire, are making during the pandemic crisis.

The letter is clear recognition of the importance of our work in supporting the most vulnerable children in society. It goes on to recognise that “whilst many people are now staying at home, I know that is not an option for most of you as your work, caring for others, cannot be done from home. ” The letter goes on to talk about the things the government are doing to support keyworkers, such as “making parking on council owned on-street spaces and car parks free for those who work in social care.”

At this time our staff, and the staff at the local authorities who support our children, are going the extra mile and this letter goes some way to recognising this effort.
